I'm super stoked about this game coming out, so I thought I'd whip a video up for it, and it just so happens that Primo Victoria by Sabaton goes pretty well with it! First music video ever, but I think it came out OK. The video practically made itself ;P By the way, do to many people asking, the name of the last song is Nemo, by Nightwish.

@fight779 Wasn't popular enough? Hardly... the game was buggy to the extreme, and FSS failed to deliver on 90% of their promises. That, combined with a poorly thought-out business model that was entirely too ambitious, killed the game. Regardless, it was (and still is) one of my favorites. I cannot wait for Hellgate: Resurrection. I was a founder for HG:L and don't regret it, and I'll buy it again when the new version gets released.

@fight779 Blizzard had nothing to do with Hellgate. Publishers are Namco / HanbitSoft / EA / IAH It was developed by Flagship Studios. The only thing that Hellgate and Diablo have in common is one Publisher, they have no direct impact on game play or content.

i don't think it ever will be. it is in taiwan (i spelled that wrong i know) however it wasn't popular enough in the states....everyone was expecting a game of diablo's caliber because it had the same makers...so when it wasn't that good everyone moved on to newer, better games and stopped playing.

This game was a pain to run on High settings. The graphics were nearly comparable to the cinematics. The game ended up falling short on the story though, and was way too much of a dungeon crawler to even work with Multiplayer. Luckily, when Flagship fell under, they went back and formed Runic Games and made Torchlight. I now own both of their games.

@gofer123guy Wrong. What killed the game was EA pushing it out too early. The game didn't stay in beta long enough. Publicity wouldn't have made the game any better. This time around a portion of the devs from HGL are working on Torchlight and Torchlight 2 for Runic Games. EA came knocking, and they turned them down. Which by default will make the game itself way better. As long as they have funding to stay afloat.

this game had so much potential...:_(. Read the books, all good till about the last book and the last chapter or 2 felt like the author found out the game had pretty much failed and ended w/ a crap conclusion. I Followed this game w/ so much admiration until the game came out, I didn't think it was bad at all except that they had a LOT of bugs and glitches and it pretty much had to compete w/ WoW and Everquest and others...just wasn't gonna happen.

Oh, and the terrible optimization and bugs. Amazing how I can play Modern Warfare on DX10 with high settings and it runs smooth like cream, but I throw this on and it turns into a slideshow. And the loot you can't use since it is higher than the level cap. Failship in trying to get the game out by Halloween, cut too many corners for a potential Guild Wars level MMO. You have to hit the ball out of the park in your first swing with an MMO or you lose.

And my complaints have NOTHING to do with the gameplay but with the infamous memory leak which Failship refused to acknowledge or fix and their shitty business model which dragged the game to hell. Failgate London. The people that think this game is "cool" never played it. Between the memory leak they never fixed, the game was never optimized correctly, and the promises of features that never surfaced, this game was 100% unsaturated shit. In my opinion this game is way better then Wow and only thing that sucks about it is that they made trailer to bad ass. But on the other hand Wow also have bad ass trailers but game sucks, its nothing like trailer... I would agree. But in certain cases, when you need to use the number line (like with certain RPGs), the best method is a hand switching strategy. Switching from left on 1234, right on numpad... to left on numpad, right on mouse. In the first position, you have limited ability to look around, but gain the ability of having all of your abilities ready at a moments notice. And vise versa with the other position. I can assure you, this method, while confusing, works great in versus games.
